We are almost at the end of January, and statistics show that a significant number of us are no longer working on our New Years’ Resolutions.

Here’s a quick recipe for keeping your resolutions or goals.

Ingredients:

  • A buddy (or accountability partner).
Choose someone who is serious and accountable.
  • List of resolutions.
This works well if you’ve chosen resolutions or goals that resonate, i.e., goals that you really want to accomplish.
  • A recurring email scheduler, such as http://www.memotome.com.

Recipe:

At the beginning of the year, exchange resolutions with your accountability partner.

Combine both lists into one email.

Use a service such as memotome.com to send monthly emails to the both of you with your resolutions. In my case, receiving the list the third week of the month works best.

That’s it – this consistent reminder and the help of an acccountability partner work like magic to help keep you on track.
